Como resultado de esta interacción hay maceración del estrato córneo asociado a daño friccional y penetración epidermal de irritantes. Los factores más importantes parecen ser las enzimas digestivas fecales, particularmente cuando son activadas por un ph alcalino cutáneo, lo que les permite actuar como las principales irritantes de la zona.

SUMMARY
Dermatitis in diaper area is the term used to describe inflammatory processes that happen in the covered area for the diapers.
Dermatitis irritativa of the diaper known as the dermatitis of the diaper, is a dermatitis of contact in way non alergic, common in the childhood, caused by the combination of factors like the diapers´s humidity, the presence of the urine and grounds. As a result of this interaction is a maceration of the stratum horn associated to damage friccional and penetration epidermal of irritans. The most important factors seem to be the fecal digestive enzymes, particulary when they are activated by a cutaneous alkaline ph, what allows them to act as the principal irritating of the area.
