RESUMEN

Los dientes incluidos son comunes y frecuentemente tratados con erupción ortodóntica, pero este tratamiento puede iniciar problemas periodontales indeseables. En el presente artículo se exponen las principales consideraciones 

periodontales a seguir durante el tratamiento ortodóntico y se reportan dos casos clínicos de caninos superiores retenidos en el que se consigue una adecuada banda de encía adherida siguiendo estos cuidados, previniendo de esta manera las alteraciones periodontales.

SUMMARY

Impacted teeth are common and are often treated with orthodontic eruption, but unwanted periodontal problems can start with the treatment. The present article develops the principal periodontal considerations to know during orthodontic treatment and we report two clinical cases where the maxillary canines get an adequate amount of keratinized tissue following these concerns, preventing at this way the subsequent periodontal alterations.
