RESUMEN

El Merthiolate, compuesto orgánico mercurial, ampliamente usado como  desinfectante  de  piel  y  como  agente  preservativo  en  alergenos,  vacunas,

reactivos para testificaciones y medicamentos tópicos; tiene capacidad sensibilizante. Se presentan iconográficamente algunos casos registrados en el Hospital Central de Aeronáutica?Servicio de Dermatología. Se llama la atención en el hecho que la introducción del merthiolate incoloro a nuestro país, como un desinfectante de hogar, podría ser la causa de reacciones eccematosas y otras implicancias como el incremento de falsas positividades en los tests alergénicos, intolerancias a las vacunas y medicamentos tópicos.

SUMMARY

Merthiolate is a mercurial organic compound commonly use as a skin desinfecter and preservative agent of vaccines, testing reagents and topical medicaments. We encourage the medical community which the introduction in the country of the incolore merthiolate, according to our daily practice could be the cause of an increase of the eccematous dermatitis and other complairits failure in the answer to the alergenics tests, topical drugs intolerance and others. We present some representative clinical cases of the Peruvian Air Force Hospital.
