SUMMARY
Tinea nigra is an uncommon cutaneous mycosis which main clinical feature is an hyperpigmented macule. Characteristically, the lesion is located on palms or soles. The most important differential diagnostics is a malignant melanocytic lesion. Auxiliary diagnostic methods, like dermatoscopy, allows physicians to differentiate both entities in an effective way. We present the case of a pacient who developed a tinea nigra infection. We highlight the most relevant dermatoscopic findings.
