Los autores inician la revisión con la explicación de los fenómenos de sorción y su relación con la liberación de los principios activos, la influencia de las propiedades fisicoquímicas, de las variaciones individuales que modifican la permeación cutánea, así como de otros factores tales como el pH, la temperatura y el grado de hidratación de la piel. También explican la importancia de la naturaleza del vehículo de las formas farmacéuticas, la concentración del principio activo, así como el coeficiente de partición y su influencia sobre la absorción.

SUMMARY
In the present article we review the investigations of several authors who have analyzed the factors of variation of the biological response drugs are given in the treatment of the different pathological cutaneous processes, specially for the transepidermal route.
The authors begin the review with the explanation of the phenomena of sorption and its relation with the liberation of the active principles, the influence of the physicochemical properties, of the individual variations that modify the cutaneous permeation, as well as of other factors such as pH, temperature and the degree of hydration of the skin. They also explain the importance of the nature of the vehicle of the drugs, the concentration of the active principle, as well as the coefficient of partition and its influence on the absorption.
