COMPARATIVO DEL EFECTO ANTIINFLAMATORIO DE VARIAS
MUESTRAS DE Uncaria tomentosa (WILLD) DC.
“UÑA DE GATO”
DE VENTA EN EL MERCADO”

El presente trabajo se realizó con el
objeto de evaluar de manera indirecta la acción antiinflamatoria de 8 muestras a base de Uncaria
tomentosa (Willd) DC. observando el progreso del edema pedal en ratas, inducido por
la administración subplantar de 0,2 ml. de carragenina al 1%. La edad promedio de los
animales fue de 4 meses, cuyos pesos varían de 260 a 320 gr, se administró las muestras
de ensayo y los estándares por vía oral 30 minutos antes de producirse el edema. El
efecto antiinflamatorio se midió en un pletismómetro a intervalos de 30 minutos por un
período de 5 horas. En base a este método edematógeno, se determinó el efecto
antiinflamatorio, la reducción del edema por acción del antiinflamatorio administrado y
la eficiencia, es la reducción porcentual del edema; para así estimar la efectividad
antiinflamatoria de las muestras, compararla con los estándares (Dexametasona -
Piroxicam) y entre las mismas muestras (Golden cat, La Molina - ATOMIZADAS, solubles-;
Inmunoflam, Manaxx, Uncaris - LIOFILIZADAS, solubles-, Manaxx Caps.
Schuler, Vid Natur- micropulverizadas-; obteniéndose una eficiencia antiinflamatoria que
varía de 22.09% a 39.17% frente a los estándares Dexametasona (66.27%) y Piroxicam
(70.73%) Además, se evidencia una mayor efectividad de los productos liofilizados (36.8%)
y atomizados (35.8%) que los micropulverizados (28.3%). Es importante, que no hay un
patrón en el orden de efectividad entre liofilizados y atomizados, esto indicaría la
influencia de la calidad del producto con la actividad farmacológica evaluada.
SUMMARY
This study was made to evaluate the anti-inflamatory activity of eight samples made with Uncaria tomentosa (Willd) DC. evaluating the progression of the foot edema in rats. The foot edema was, induced with the subplantar administración of carragenina 1% (0,2ml). The animals age was around 4 months and their weight was between 260 and 320 gr. The standards and the assay samples were given 30 minutes before the edema was evident. The anti-inflamatory effect was measured in a pletismometer with 30 minutes intervals in a 5 hour period. Based on this edematogenous method we determined the anti-inflamatory effect, the reduction of the edema with the administered anti-inflamatory, and its efficiency in the reduction of the edema porcentage, so we could estimate the anti-inflamatory effctivity of the samples, compared them between each others (Golden Cat, La Molina - Atmized, solubles- Inmunoflam, Mannaxx, Uncaris - Liofilezed, solubles- Mannaxx caps., Schuler, Vid Natur -Micropulverized) and with the standards (Dexamethasone, Piroxicam), we obtained an anti-inflamatory efficiency between 22.09% and 39.17% compared with the standars Dexamethasone (66.27%) and Piroxicam (70.73%). We observed a higher efficacy in the Liofilizedes (36.8%) and Atomizedes (35.8%) than the Micropulverizedes (28.3%) products. It is important to remark that there is a non patron in the effectivity between the Liofilized and the Atomized products so these will indicate the influence of the quality of the product with the evaluated pharmacology activity.
