SUMMARY

The alterations of taste sense constitute a dysfunction little studied that has various etiologies, mainly medications. A male. 32 years old patient had total lost of taste sense after four weeks of treatment with terbinafine for onichomycosis with total recovery after suspension of medication.

The dysfunctions of taste, generally, do not constitute a serious effect, but can alter the quality of life of patients.
